We want to say a huge thank you to A-Star Sports for my daughter’s recent 5th birthday party. Gary was absolutely brilliant! He kept in touch with me beforehand and was very happy to take on board my daughter’s request for a Wizard of Oz theme. On the day of the party he was there early setting up and helping us. There were 30 children altogether (of whom Gary had probably met about 8 before) but he seemed to know all of their names really quickly! He got them all playing games (with a Wizard of Oz twist!) and they had a fab time. He made my daughter feel really special as the birthday girl. When it was time for eating Gary got all the children lined up and then into the room with the food after a quick spritz of hand gel! He chatted to the children and us during the meal and generally helped out which was great. At the end he even helped coordinate the handing out of the party bags! We cannot recommend him highly enough and if you book an A-Star Sports party for your child, I guarantee they and their guests will have a wonderful time. Thanks again Gary, from Jessie and family.

Thank you so so much for a fab birthday party for Fynn today with his friends, Kevin (Glasgow). It was so refreshing to actually see all Fynn’s friends joining in and playing together. They all went home happy and exhausted! That was the plan! Lots of great texts from parents saying kids were buzzing about the party and they want one just like that. Thank you again for making Fynn’s and our day lovely and memorable.

A huge, and belated thank you to Gary for 2 parties over the space of 3 weeks. Tom (7) and Ethan (5) had a fantastic time and so did all of their friends. Gary did a wonderful job of making sure the birthday boy was made to feel special while still including each and every friend making sure no one was left out. If you want a stress free party while still making sure your child has a wonderful birthday then an A-Star Sports party is the best option. I’m still amazed at the way Gary can remember every child’s name!

My 4 year old daughter absolutely loves her weekly A-Star Sports class in Edinburgh. Dale is fantastic with the little ones. He provides a fun play environment yet easily commands control and respect from the children. I think it’s great that they are taught a variety of sports. Both my daughter and 6 year old son have attended A-Star Sports holiday club days, which I would also highly recommend.

I just want to thank you and your team for a fabulous party yesterday at Little Leigh Village Hall. Mark (Chester) turned up long before he was expected, and immediately started entertaining the birthday boys and their siblings while we set up the party room. He was very friendly and helpful, and offered assistance with the setting up and moving of furniture.

When the children arrived and the party started, he managed to keep the attention of 24 five and six year olds, and a lovely touch was him remembering each and every child’s name. The games he played were perfect for the age group, and the feedback received from the other parents is that the children really enjoyed themselves. He ensured that the birthday boys were always involved and made them feel extra special.

After the fun and games, Mark continued to help by bringing out the food, pouring drinks, etc., and taking the time to chat to the parents. All in all, the party could not have gone better, and we are very pleased that we chose to book your company to do our party.

I should also mention that Sharon was so helpful on the phone during booking, and all the correspondence since then has been friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend your company to my family and friends.

I have nothing but praise for A-Star Sports! My son attends a weekly class (Dale – Edinburgh) and loves every minute, the activities are well planned and the patience the guys have is just amazing! We also had an A-Star Sports party for my daughter and Brian was fantastic at keeping the kids entertained and a great time was most definitely had by all. I wouldn’t hesitate to have another A-Star Sports party again!

Both my boys absolutely LOVE coming to ball skills each week. Dale (Edinburgh) is fantastic and teaches them in a fun and exciting way. Thank you for providing such great sports classes. I would certainly recommend A-Star Sports. Keep up the good work!

Ciarán absolutely loves “sports class”. Dale (Edinburgh) does a brilliant job at getting and keeping the kids engaged, encouraging them, but also keeping them in line if they’re playing up. There are always lots of laughs and Ciarán’s always keen to practice the new things he’s learned. We’ll definitely be back.

Gary did a brilliant job today at my twins 4th birthday party, keeping 26 very lively children engaged and entertained for nearly two hours! Lots of fun and laughter, lots of interaction and interesting activities and reportedly “the coolest party ever!!” Many of the parents who attended have already commented on how fantastic Gary is with all the children, remembering all their names and holding their interest with a variety of games and activities which are pitched pefectly for small children. My two children are still playing with their foldable frisbees – as well as frisbee, several other made-up games including fastest re-folding!

Hayden went to an A-Star Sports party in December, I was so impressed I phoned Steven the week after and booked Hayden’s party. The activities are great fun, Steven gets all the kids involved and most importantly the kids love him. Hayden can be quite shy but with Steven’s party he was completely confident and happy to take main stage as the birthday boy – something he would normally shy away from. Having just had Will’s 4th birthday party this afternoon, I want to say a huge thank you to A-Star Sports (Chester), in particular, Kyle Taylor who lead the party. Having had to postpone due to Chicken pox, Sharon was incredibly helpful and went out of her way to help re-arrange it all at such short notice. Today, Kyle was outstanding: knowing every child’s name within the first 10 minutes; engaging them at all times; including EVERY child throughout; and most of all, making sure they all had lots of fun! The number of positive comments from other parents speaks volumes, with many of them reporting that their child was saying it was “The best party EVER!”

I just wanted to let you know how impressed I was with Mark’s work at Elliott’s party on Sunday (Chester). He was fantastic with the 24 kids and they all had a great time. After the party, he even stayed on a little to help us tidy the room which we were very appreciative of. Please pass on our thanks and praise!

My son attends A-Star Sports class every Tuesday and it’s the highlight of his week. He really enjoys all of the games and gets on fantastically with the teachers, who are great with the kids and really get to know all of them. A Star Sports is also his favourite for birthday parties and keeps the kids entertained throughout.

My son attends A Star Sports every week & loves I thought one of their parties would be a great idea – how right I was! I organised a party for his 4th Birthday. My two daughters (aged 3 and 5) go to A-Star Sports in East Dunbartonshire. They love it! They think they are just having fun ‘throwing pancakes into frying pans’ (throwing bean bags into hoops), ‘racing motorbikes’ (rolling hoola hoops), ‘chasing mice’ (trapping tennis balls in cups), ‘dodging alien space ships’ (dodging foam frisbees) but they are actually learning all the basics of sports and techniques (balance, speed, coordination, aim, etc). Tommy and Callum are fantastic coaches who hold the attention of every child, capture their imagination and make exercise fun!! If you are in the area I would highly recommend you bring your kids along to join in the fun!!

Kyle (Chester) was superb, he remembered all the children’s names within moments and ensured that everyone was included and enjoying themselves. My son had a great time and so did all his friends. Thanks so much!

I would like to thank Gary (Chester) and his team for the A-Star classes at Hope Farm every week. Both my children have really enjoyed their time with you. Winning the trophy has been the highlight of some weeks. I have been pleased to see the way Josh has calmed down in the last 12 months, and going to your classes has helped with this. Sam has gone on to High School with a real love of PE, and his attending these classes has helped with this. Thanks again, Gary. Your ability to control the children, especially at parties is amazing, and how you remember the names is quite astounding! We’ll miss the classes, but Josh is ready to move on.

I just wanted to thank you for our son’s party back on Sat 2 November in Cuddington. We thought that Kyle had a great manner with all the children and we were really impressed at how well lots of 3 year old boys concentrated! All the children were really engaged and had lots of fun. HUGE thanks to Kyle for another fantastic party for my son, Charlie. (We booked him last year too!) Kyle can keep the attention of 20+ six and seven year olds for over an hour and a half…AMAZING. Thanks to Kyle for giving my daughter Emily the best party ever! The children had a brilliant time and were totally involved in the games the whole time. I love it and so do my kids. My 3 year old and 5 year old have thoroughly enjoyed the classes, summer club and parties since we discovered A-Stars 18 months ago. The staff are all lovely and it is great that nearly all are male, which makes a change from all female primary school staff.

Just to say thanks so much for making holiday club (Chester) so much fun for Rachael and Patrick. They really enjoy themselves when they come to you and I love hearing about all the new sports they are learning! Patrick is learning that there is life outside football and Rachael discovered a liking for lacrosse!

Thank you to your whole team of coaches (Chester) for a fantastic holiday club from Monday 5th August-Friday 9th August. Oliver loved every minute of it and his enthusiasm for A-STAR SPORTS is still current topic of conversation with his friends and family.

Isaac has really enjoyed the variety of activities and this has kept him engaged throughout. It also ensures a range of different skills have been nurtured in him.

George has improved so much this year. He enjoys sports and talks a lot about it. Kyle is a fantastic coach – really appreciate all his work.

Joe started half way through the summer term. Kyle’s inclusive approach has really enables Joe to fit into the class and enjoy all the activities.

Kate has really enjoyed this year. She has enjoyed trying different sports. Kyle is enthusiastic and we have definitely noticed a big improvement in Kate at sports day this year. Thanks again!

Too many good things to say about A-Star Sports (Kelsall) – it’s great to see them progress and the structure of the lessons as they move up a class. Kyle is an amazing coach – enthusiastic, funny and the children just love to be around him. Please can we have him to come and work at our pre-school! Would love to see him coach netball :)

I have been going to Gary’s classes (Chester & surrounding areas) since I was 3, and I have always enjoyed them. I love the variety of sports and my favourites are probably football and dodgeball.

Thanks to Gary for doing a brilliant job of entertaining 16 lively 3, 4 and 5 year olds at our daughter’s 4th birthday party last weekend.

The activities were pitched perfectly to engage all of the children for an hour and a half. They had a fantastic time – by the end of the afternoon they were exhausted from running around and laughing so much.

And Gary made life so easy for us as ‘hosts’ – lining the kids up to come to the table, helping rally the singing after the cake-cutting and even distributing the party bags.

An A-Star Sports party is active and fun but it is also highly professional. Our daughter had a fantastic time and it was worth every penny.

Alister Ramm (Edinburgh) entertained a group of 22 children for our daughter’s fifth birthday party. He made a huge effort to welcome all the children and learn their names. He was fun, energetic and kept them all under control throughout the party with structured play and games. Lots of jokes, giggles and smiley faces all afternoon. He definitely earned his fee! Would highly recommend this for a kids’ party.

Sharon (Chester area) did a great job with our 5 year old’s party. So much energy, so much fun, all the kids responded to her and lots came to tell me how much they had enjoyed the afternoon.

My son attends a weekly session in Perth. He loves it. We had an A-Star Sports party for his 5th birthday. Everyone who has seen the photos from the party cannot believe how engaged and enthused the kids look. Five year olds in a sports hall normally = chaos, but not this time. A great concept that deserves all the support it can get.

I would just like to say a huge thank you for the fantastic entertainment at my son’s birthday party on the 9th March in Perthshire. I was very nervous about the party, having invited both of their classes and expecting around 40 children! However, I was amazed at how instantly involved the kids became in the games. They listened to everything that Gary said and they had an absolute blast running around. There were no prizes or competitions so no tears and they all sat down perfectly for their snacks as they were ready for a rest, which was great and made it so much easier. They were really eager for more games after their food and thoroughly enjoyed every last minute of it. I have already been recommending A-Star sports and Gary to others in the area, just brilliant!

Thanks to Gary (Chester) for 2 fantastic parties. All children (girls and boys) had a fabulous time, good variety and age appropriate activities. Gary has an amazing ability to remember all children’s names and keeps all interested. As the host parent it couldn’t be better. Can I just thank Mark (Chester & surrounding areas) for an excellent party on Saturday at Waverton village hall for my son Charlie. The whole event was made stress free by Mark’s professional and relaxed approach, with 26 children aged four and with a couple of younger ones for good measure. He is a credit to A-Star Sports. The children loved the games and the parents were amazed at the behaviour of 26+ children. Mark quickly learned all names of the children making sure they were all involved throughout the event. We are orginal customers of Gary (Perth), and he has always provided excellent classes which he has adapted over the years to meet the children’s needs in the current groups. He now has a young helper Simon who is showing real promise and under Gary’s guidance he is developing confidence and a good understanding of the pre 5 age group. It is wonderful having access to this resource, which is lead by a nurturing male role model. Even when the children move on to big school they speak with great respect about Gary and the fun they had in his classes.

He already loves the weekly sessions so you can imagine just how much of a good time he, and 20+ of his friends & school chums, had over 2hrs! My son and his friends had a fantstic 5th birthday party run by Dale (Edinburgh) yesterday! I have had so many comments from parents saying how well run the party was and how their kids had so much fun. Dale really engaged the children and activities were pitched at their level perfectly. Alister (Edinburgh North, West & surrounding areas) – just to let you know that the girls LOVED the class today! I have never seen them so excited about anything!!

Our son has had a fantastic time with Alister (Edinburgh) and has loved every minute of it. The opportunity to try a variety of sports has been invaluable to him. His favourite game is tennis and he is really starting to blossom at it. He practises out the back of our house every day hitting the balls off the wall. I’m sure the time spent with Alister has been a big help in getting him to work out what his favouite sports are.

A huge thank you to Steven Cairney and all his Christmas helpers for the Christmas A-Star Sports holiday club today (Broughty Ferry). Charlie (4) had a terrific time and has come home full of chat about his experience. It helped me considerably in the knowledge that Charlie was fully occupied so I could get the last bits and bobs for Christmas sorted. Steven always goes the extra mile in helping and supporting both kids and parents – his support with Charlie this year is hugely appreciated – and Charlie has been positively responsive!

A huge thank you to Gary (Perth and Kinross) for a fantastic party for Rory (5). I can’t believe how easy it all was and all of the kids from tiny to older were included and had a brilliant time. The parents even got time for a chat and a cuppa!!!

Dale (Edinburgh) entertained 35 children at my 4 year old son’s birthday party. My son had a brilliant time. They played all sorts of games with a variety of different sports equipment. Dale was fantastic with the kids. He showed great care and patience with all of them. He recognises the shy ones and the distracted ones but still manages to keep them all focused and included while still showing them a great time. I didn’t need to worry about anyone. I have only good things to say about A-Star Sports and a BIG thank you to Dale who made the day perfect.

Wardie Nursery welcomed A-Star Sports into the nursery for weekly sports classes. Since Dale (Edinburgh North West) joined us the children have taken part in a range of sports, they have an improved knowledgeable attitude towards exercise and how it makes them feel. They are able to take turns and are keen to try new things. Dale has an excellent rapport with the children and they love Thursdays because they know Dale is coming in. We thank Dale and A-Star Sports for the enjoyment they bring into the nursery on a weekly basis.

Big thanks to Mark (Chester & surrounding areas) who did a fantastic job for my son’s 4th birthday party. Kept all the kids fully entertained, I’ve never seen such a big group of kids with full attention and focus. Definitely recommend to anyone holding a party, completely stress free for parents and amazing how Mark remembered all of their names, just fab. Another reason to love A-Star Sports…just watched Newsnight on BBC 2; The 2012 Olympics is inspiring the rising generation from all backgrounds, but yet there is no specialist sport coaching in primary schools and a severe lack of access to facilities in the more deprived areas. Thankfully, A-Star Sports coaches (Chester & surrounding areas) are giving my children the opportunity to gain experience in MANY different sports that I never had the opportunity to play and from such a young age.

Just want to say a great big Thank you from the Rainbows, Brownies and Guides who attended our Jubilee Fun Day. The weather had left the field so soggy and we were worried we could not have the sports, but ‘oh no’ A-Star Sports (Chester & surrounding areas) came up trumps with a variety of fun activities for the girls. They had to think of games that could involve girls from 5 to 16 years and that is just what they did. Although we had other activities to do the girls were all asking to have another day that had more sports sessions. Just wanted to say a huge thank you for Bob’s party today. Kyle (Chester & surrounding areas) was brilliant! We had a range of ages from 3 until almost 7 and he not only coped with that challenge, he kept every one of them entertained – I think they will all sleep well tonight!! I really can’t rate A-Star Sports highly enough. My Son James has been attending classes with Gary (Chester & surrounding areas) since he was 2 1/2 and I have to say it’s been the making of him. James had speech problems when he was younger and was never confident at school but seeing him in class he was like a different boy. All the classes are age appropriate, starting out from 5 minutes of lots of different skill building activities to start with and now he’s playing short games of football etc. Each lesson a new rule or skill is taught and practised so they are not inundated with lots of new things at once. We also had an A-Star Sports birthday party this weekend – it was the best party ever. All the kids and parents loved it – it was so well organised and structured – certainly took the pressure off me. Holiday Club is fab too and we’re already signed up for this year. I have to say that the best thing about A-Star Sports is the Team – it doesn’t matter who teaches you they all have the same training.

We saw Alister at a party for our son’s friend and were so blown away we immediately booked him for our son’s party 4 months later. We’ve just had that party and it was as good as we’d hoped. Alister manages to engage with the kids in a way that lets them have crazy active fun, while keeping them under control as well. He remembered the names of all 25 kids which was a feat in itself. He is very funny, hugely energetic, able to connect with kids brilliantly and is also very inclusive, so a few of the kids who didn’t know any others didn’t feel isolated. The balance of fun and control was perfect, so the kids were reined in when they needed to be but didn’t notice it was happening because it was all done as part of the fun. It was a brilliant party, everyone had a fabulous time, so thanks Alister! We’re looking forward to booking some summer holiday activities now!

Sharon Bassett was an absolute star!

It is the first time I have not had to panic about the entertainment provided for my daughter’s party – worrying if the children would enjoy themselves or not. Knowing Sharon fron Tahlia’s regular A-Star Sports classes, I knew Sharon would deliver a great party.

Sharon is a true professional and has great skills both with adults and children alike. She pitched the party perfectly for a large group of 27 four and five year olds with a few two year old siblings tagging along, too. I, and other parents, could not believe how quickly she knew all the children’s names and engaged them for the full hour and a half of games.

Even after she had finished her activities – she got the children’s attention to sing Happy Birthday! A great party – one I would fully recommend to others and I know the other Mums and Dads who were at the party were impressed too. They are asking about the regular classes and getting details to host a party!

Gary Bassett (Chester) did a party for our 4 year old, Lauren, and 20 of her full-of-energy mates. He has this fantastic ability to remember all their names, let them go mad, but keep them under control and most of all let them have a great time. He takes the pressure of running the party off you so that you can do the food etc and chat to the other parents. Everyone said how good a party it was. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

We decided to book Gary Slater for a birthday party having seen how fantastic he was with the kids at the local youth club. The birthday party (for 30+ children) was without doubt the most fun, most stress-free party we have ever held. All the children had a fantastic time, we had time and space to sort the food while Gary took charge, and it was lovely to hear how he made the birthday girl centre of the action while ensuring everyone else had an equally great time. His rapport with the children is terrific. I would recommend Gary for birthday parties for both boys and girls (ours was mixed), and we will certainly be using him again.

Gary Slater (Kinross) provided a fantastic birthday party experience for our daughter Maya and her 28 (!!!!) friends from nursery. From start to finish Gary made the party a memorable and fun time for the children. He totally went the extra mile by creating ball games relating to the Smurfs as Maya wanted a Smurf party. From our initial booking to the end of the party we had a great customer experience and would recommend Gary to any parents considering an A-Stars Sports party. I think Maya and her friends would also agree!

My son had an A-Star Sports party for his 5th birthday. It was fantastic and all the kids had a great time. Kevin was great with the kids and kept them entertained for the whole time. Many parents are now having A-Star Sports parties for their own children due to the great time that was had by all.

I would rate this the BEST childrens activity out there. The hour long classes and range of sports covered give children a really good grounding in many team sports. The lessons are extremely well taught, promote good sportsmanship and seem great fun, my son never wants to miss a class (Chester & surrounding areas). As a full-time working Mum, ‘A-Star Sports’ enable my son to play many sports I simply wouldn’t have the time or knowledge to teach him.

My 7 year old son has been going to our local session for some time. As well as being a fun-filled hour of exercise he has learned various sports and how to be a good sportsman (prior to these classes turn-taking and not winning everytime were a challenge for him). A special thank you to Leanne at the Bridge of Weir session who manages to capture the attention of every child and make hard work seem like fun.

Rosemount nursery has been working with Gary Slater for over 18 months and the children thoroughly enjoy the sessions each week. Gary shows great skill, knowledge & enthusiasm in providing a fun energetic skill-based sports sesssion which greatly adds to the development of both the health and well-being of our children.

Hope was very enthusiastic with the children which created a really good party atmosphere! She also went over and above the call of duty by helping us set up the party room which was a nice touch! My son, although active, able and full of energy was not a natural sportsman and intimidated by faster more skilled boys so reluctant to join in team sports. After attending weekly sessions, his confidence grew and abilities developed so that he is now eager to play sports. He has chosen to play both hockey and football outside school, and is playing well, gaining praise from the coaches and enjoying the games. Coaches provide sports coaching through varied and fun games to improve the children’s confidence, self-esteem, balance, hand-eye co-ordination and general fitness…[with] a huge array of varied and imaginative equipment to make the skills accessible to children…a great sense of fun, team spirit and energy in each session.

A healthy, positive attitude to sport and activity whatever a child’s skill and encouragement to learn and enjoy all sports…The coaches are great role models for the children who strongly admire them.

The activities are so good that the children don’t even realise the skills that they are learning! Children are encouraged as individuals but also to work together.

I was so pleased I rang the telephone number at the end of the snippet in the local paper! My kids love it and so look forward to their weekly sessions. As the classes are small, this enables the coach to really get to know the individual needs of the children….[our coach is] very sensitive to children’s individual needs and helps to build their confidence, skills and determination to do well.

This programme encourages friendship, team and individual development…lots of fun and smiling faces… Children love to listen for the next game and their attention is held with eager keenness.

The sessions build on the skills that the children have, give them confidence to try new activities and provide challenge. As a primary school teacher who regularly monitors the lessons of other teachers, I wish I saw the level of commitment, planning, organisation and enthusiasm in school that I see every week here.
